Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysm: An Atypical Etiology of Recurrent Syncope

The sinus of Valsalva presents the initial segment aorta from where coronary vessels arise. Sinus aneurysms (SOVAs) present as progressive dilatation aortic sinus. SOVA arises both congenital and acquired weakness elastic lamina media. Though most SOVAs are asymptomatic diagnosed on screening for other pathologies, patients can with symptoms arrhythmia, insufficiency, aorto-cardiac fistulas, and, in a few cases, rupture. We describe patient who presented recurrent syncope was found to have 6 cm dilated an ectatic ascending aorta. Further assessment revealed left anterior fascicular block, regurgitation, mitral regurgitation. On further assessment, no cause found. There family history aneurysm or sudden cardiac death. eventually discharged outpatient follow-up cardiothoracic surgery. In presenting SOVA, maximum diameter 6.0 requires stringent monitoring should be considered
